Dawn Guerra - BDS (U.Lond.) LDS RCS (Eng.), Registered Sepcialist in Orthodontics. General Dental Council Reg 53999 I qualified as a dentist at the University of London in 1980.  I worked initially as a children’s dentist, where my interest in Orthodontics was kindled.  In 1982 I became a Clinical Assistant in Orthodontics in North Worcestershire. In 2002, following many years of experience in orthodontic treatment and further study and assessment I was awarded Specialist in Orthodontics status by the General Dental Council and my name was added to the GDC specialist list. Having devoted 15 years of my career to Orthodontic practice I have followed the evolution of orthodontics during this time.  I have always advocated the use of light forces in tooth movement and now use the latest self-ligating bracket systems, often without the need for tooth extraction. Away from the Practice I enjoy travel, gardening and simply spending time at home, where I am Mum to 2 children- both orthodontic patients!
